Yes that’s right, we are now offering finance!
Over the past couple of years we have been asked what payment methods we offer, traditionally we have only ever offered the standard payment methods; cash, cheque, bank transfer and credit / debit cards.
Not many customers have asked for finance, but recently I was asked by a friend of mine, ‘how many people do you think have a spare £8,000 to £12,000 laying around to invest in a new roof or driveway?.
Sure people may have £3,000 to £5,000 to invest into the roof, but if they knew spending that little more could last them double the length of time would they finance it if it was offered to them? After all, the labour value to fit the goods is the same, it’s the quality of the materials from the leading manufacturers that costs more but simply last so much longer.
He also said people have pride and won’t ask for something like finance unless its offered to them, I thought about that for a moment and to be honest I think he’s right, would I feel comfortable asking, probably not and i’m quite outspoken!
So after having many discussions with friends, other business owners and many of our customers, we decided to look into this more and see what we need to do.
